Nordstrom.com final clearance
Online, Nordstrom is cleaning it out. They have a good selection of my personal favorites: Bailey 44, tons of BCBG tops and dresses, DVF dresses, some Elizabeth and James, Ella Moss, a super sexy Gryphon dress, Haute Hippie, and a hot Robert Rodriguez glitter tank. Please for the love of god, though, don't buy Twilight clothes...

Finally! thanks for the heads up, just what i'd been waiting for.. Need a Prom dress... Do you know where Are good places to look for prom dresses?
ReplyDeleteHmm. What style are you looking for? Long gown? Satin or chiffon? or perhaps the short cocktail dress?
ReplyDeleteDo you have a price range? I'll rack my brain...
Cocktail would be good, it's funny I have the shoes (I absolutely love shoes!) Pewter heels... feel like I need to find the perfect black dress! Probably in the $100-$250...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your help!
I don't know how you feel about 'fun' versus 'elegant', but you have some options.
ReplyDeleteFun (and cheaper): Rachel Rachel Roy, bebe, French Connection
More elegant: Laundry by Shelli Segal, Vivienne Tam (currently having sales and to get extra discounts in-store, join Mintbox with code "AAMB5"; although final sale, I like this one), Black Halo, and if you are size 2, there are a couple of super cute DVF dresses on sale for $144 (extra 15% off) here and here
If you want to search through sales, I can recommend sites: TheOutnet.com, RevolveClothing.com, all the big dept stores, YOOX.com. You may be able to find some Helmut Lang, Robert Rodriguez, or Alice+Olivia
Good luck!! Let me know if you need more ideas :) xoxo
Wow, thanks so much for your help... these are great sites! You really know your a great deal about fashion! I like the fun with elegant look actually... I'm loving the "Black Sleeveless Pleated Cocktail Dresses" by Vivienne Tam.
ReplyDeleteRight, now I have to convince my mom to increase the budget a little haha!
Do you have good ideas on where to get my make up done? I know a few places in Macy's and Nordstrom are good, but I always look terrible in the pics, they really cake it on... I was thinking of doing my own makeup actually =)
I'll keep you posted on how things go...
Thanks so much again xx
For my prom make-up, I just had it done at the hair salon (Toni & Guy, which totally is showing my age!! :P) If you want to have it done at a salon with your hair, I'd probably recommend an Aveda concept salon-- they seem to have a light touch.
ReplyDeleteFor my wedding, my makeup artist used only MAC. It did not look featherlight in person (although not CAKED on), but it looks AMAZING in photos. Maybe there is a MAC counter near you or a freelance make-up artist (look on craigslist?) who uses MAC. If you want to do a crazy eye, I would recommend a 'trial run' prior to the real deal in case it goes awry! Personally, in lieu of peacock eye makeup, I would find a Shu Uemura Tokyo lash bar and do some CRAZY lashes...
xo
Eye makeup is my personal fav! Yea I do prefer MAC makeup, it just goes on well. I just bought their Plush Lash Mascara, it's so good and doesn't get gunk up your eyelashes. It looks like Purple Eyeshadow is the in thing.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out the MAC counter at Macys here in NYC :)
Haha I like Tony& Guy!
Thanks for your help with all of this, I really appreciate it!XX
