Portolano sample sale

Tina Tang 20% off
I love Tina Tang's jewelry. First, she has the same name as me, which gives her an unfair advantage. Second, her shop is literally around the corner and down the block from where I live. Third, her jewelry is SUPER CUTE. I got one of the first Re-Leaf necklaces way back when, and I have gotten sooo many comments on it.
It made me sad when I read her quote in a recent news article, discussing how the flailing economy has affected her business and put a serious dent in her walk-in traffic at Gold Label by Tina Tang, her more upscale shop (she has 2) which sells pieces accented with diamonds and stones. Marchesa sample sale report
I popped by the Marchesa sale today, and since I wasn't in the mood to spend $2000, I walked away empty handed. Overall the selection of short dresses was the beaded variety (I prefer the flouncy floral detail), and if you're looking for a prom-esque Emmy gown, this will be fantastic for you. And although the flyer says $35 stoles, I have no idea where they were. There is also a very small "as is" rack with goodies for $75. The selection was small, and a sales girl said she thinks they will get new stuff in everyday. You can also get additional discounts if you buy multiple pieces.

Anthropologie sale
Sometime in the past 5 years, Anthropologie has really exploded as the go-to store for the trendy artsy bohemian types (read: almost everyone). Around the same time, prices started going up up up. So I'm letting you know that their current sale looks very good. Tops priced between $20-40 (as opposed to $70-120). Count me in!
