Bummed. No Balenciaga, Lanvin bags, Celine or Louboutin shoes on sale :-(

  2. If you want Louboutin shoes, you should pre-sale at Saks (if you have a Saks card). They have some Loubs at 30% off! Not a lot, but some :)

It is too bad there are no trendy Balenciaga bags even marked down. I was at the Madison Ave store last weekend, and the inventory was sparse.

  3. Excuse the ditz moment but what do you mean by pre-sale? Like buy a pair of Loubs pre-sale on a Saks card for 30% off? Just curiosu since I never heard about this before. PS - LOVE your blog!

  4. CandidSense, Saks (or Neimans or Bloomie's) will usually let their cardholders 'pre-sale', which is buy and hold items they KNOW are going on sale, so they get the best selection of merchandise. So as a Saks cardholder, if I know what Loubs are going on sale (and I do just because I have obsessive-compulsive friends on TPF), I can call them up, pay with my Saks card, and rest easy, knowing that I don't have to claw and fight my way to get a pair of shoes. However, I can't pick them up until the sale officially, publicly starts.

If you don't have a Saks/NM/Bloomie's card, then usually you cannot pre-sale an event-- you just have to go when it officially starts.

  5. Tina - Thanks so much. I have done this for Bloomies but not for Saks (since I dont' have a card). I would think the trick is to be in the know of what WILL go on sale. I have my eye on a few Loubs and I am really really trying to score them. I got the Rolanda Loubs via the Neiman sale per your FYI and I too needed to return them for the SAME reason. I am now eyeing the Fetichia and Python peep toes. But 6.5 are impossiblet to come by!
    Thanks again!

  6. Here's a link to CLs which will be marked down for the Saks' sale (which goes live Jun 4, I believe). So if you had a Saks card, you could call and buy them and hold them, to be delivered Jun 4...

  8. Oooh, he uploaded a new Chanel album! Too bad the Chanel pumps I just l.o.v.e. (the tweed accented ones) are not on sale :(

Here is a link to the older CL album: http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/sharing/shareRedirectSwitchBoard.jsp?token=602167186803%3A1864397744&sourceId=533754321803&cm_mmc=eMail-_-Share-_-Photos-_-Sharee

  9. Thanks Tina for the link! Mine were on the list that you sent (well one of them were at least). I'm going to start tracking these down this week and what perfect timing with my birthday coming up. I hope you end up getting the Chanel one's (what with the Rolando disapppointment!). There are some classic Chanels that i just heart but I figured let's focus our efforts to one major shoe line at a time. Wish me luck. I'm going to tackle the Chicago stores and its always a crap shoot with these things. Sometimes they'll bend over backwards and sometimes they look at you like you're speaking another language. Thanks much!

  10. Oooh, good luck! I have been ordering shoes from Europe -- right now. Got a pair of YSL boots from MyTheresa.com and some Prada sandals from Gateonline.it. Email correspondence with Gateonline is in English, but their entire website is in Italian! It's been fun learning a new language ;) At their sale prices -VAT +shipping +the customs fees I assume I'll pay, they will still come out a bit less than I'd find on sale here! (I think the Pradas would retail for $550-600 here, and after everything they'll be about $200)

  11. Tina - you are a woman after my own heart. Please come visit my blog if ever you have some time to cyber wander. Its new and - achem - lean. I'd love some feedback and if possible to one day link to your blog! PS - please post your new shoes when they have arrived in the country. I could def use your advice on international orders for such high end stuff. I'm such a pansy about those things. Language, taxes and all....
