Oh that's fine no problem... I managed to get a great deal on Amrita Singh sandals :D

So I got an email from Saks this morning about a La Mer offer (spend $300 on La Mer and get a 5 peice intro set for Mothers day), I know you're a big fan of that right? Is it really worth the $$?? I've been using Aveeno positively radiant spf30 for the last 6 months and recently my skin is starting to break out a little... I'm not sure if it's due to the big change in weather or not :/

  3. Thanks for the tip! I see that Saks is running a La Prairie promo too :) Although I use La Mer hydrating infusion and lip balm, my daily moisturizer with SPF 30 is the La Prairie Anti-Aging Emulsion. It is THE BOMB. I started using it while honeymooning in New Zealand where the sun is really strong, and I never stopped. At $195 it is pricey, but one bottle lasts me a long time-- definitely a year. The Douglas Cosmetics Mother's Day sale is Friday-- it's 20% off everything for one-day only, and they carry it. I'm restocking!

The weather has made my skin just terrible for the past 2 weeks, so it may not be your Aveeno. I've been like a mad woman doing masks every other night and exfoliating like crazy!!

Aaah ok I guess i'd be spending almost the same on an annual cost basis. Thanks for the info :)
OMG I know what you mean, my hubby thinks I have OCD with my skin, i think it's true!
My mother told me this trick of mixing chickpea flour with plain yogurt and applying to your face for around 15mins (it will start to feel dry). It's actually very refreshing, not sure if clears anything up though :/

  5. No problem! Yogurt and chickpea flour... hmm.. I will have to try that out!! I love trying out weird stuff, and my hubby DEF thinks I'm insane. I got the bird poo facial from Shizuka spa and LOVED it, so I ordered bird poo powder from Japan online and make my own mixed with the Fresh Umbrian Clay mask. I have to say that helps a LOT in purifying and exfoliating. It doesn't smell altogether pleasant (kind of musky) but it does my skin a world of good!

Haha ok good to know there are more skin loving/obsessed women like me out there! Oooh I've heard of that facial. Do you reccomend it? You should head over to central park and pick up your own bird poo! Haha totally kidding!! ;)

  7. Honestly, I don't do salon facials very often anymore-- I kind of look down on them because I prefer the more 'hardcore' stuff like microderms. I don't want to pay some woman $150 just to have more moisturized skin. However, I really thought the bird poo facial was really effective. I did it because last time it was a $50 SpaWeek treatment, so why not? I figured it was all hype, but in reality I was blown away. It made my skin feel really smooth and fresh! In my (cheapskate) opinion it's the only facial worth $180.

Doing it myself is not as quite as good as they do it, but for an upfront investment of $25 for the poo + $48 for the clay mask, AND the ability to mask myself 2x a week is so much better! If you are interested, this is the poo powder I got: http://japanbeauty.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=5465767 and the seller is just lovely. I bought so much beauty junk from her! (including the Fancl cleansing oil which kicks Shu Uemura's butt!)
